PENGARUH PERUNDUNGAN SIBER MEDIA SOSIAL MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS PERTAMINA

The cyberbullying cases on social media are increasingled and have become a common discussion topic on several occasions. This study aims to analyze the causes of cyberbullying and its effects on adolescent mental health, including effective prevention methods. The research was conducted at Universitas Pertamina and reviewed the phenomena on social media. The research method used is a questionnaire, interviews and observation. Questionnaires were distributed to Pertamina University students, interviews were conducted with one of the teachers who was quite critical of the bullying phenomenon, observations were made by observing phenomena that are currently popular on social media regarding the topic of bullying. Secondary data sources obtained through literature review, literature and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The results shows that there are several factors in cyberbullying, such as the social, technological, psychological and interpersonal environment. The impact of cyberbullying can cause feelings of sadness, indifference, depression, inferiority and discomfort. Cyberbullying can be prevented by preventive, repressive, coercive and curative measures.
